OIA arranges 2~3 field trips off campus each semester. All international students will receive an email on this and they are required to visit OIA for application and payment.

Exchange students can join extra-curricular clubs. The orientation of the clubs is held on the first week of each semester on campus.

We do not have a service for the loan of laptop and/or digital recorders, but students can use computers in communal lounges. We, however, recommend students bring their own laptops.

Yes, all exchange students are required to buy and submit the copy of international health insurance that covers medical treatment that can occur during their stay in Korea. There is no minimum/ maximum amount we require. Students can buy the insurance from the company Hanyang introduces. In this case, the price differs to a student’s personal status (e.g. nationality, gender, age, stay period etc.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer airport pick-up service, but we provide an information on airport pick-up service. And it is quite easy to access to each campus by public transportation and all the information is given to students before arrival.

Department of Student Support supports general affairs, but exchange students can get most support from OIA.

We host an orientation each semester 2~3 days before the semester starts. Information on Immigration Status (Alien Registration), Academic Affairs (Academic Schedule, Course Add/Drop, Transcript), Crime Prevention Education and other useful information (Opening a bank account, Manner in Korea, Transportation, Insurance…) are covered.

If exchange students want to take courses in Korean, they are required to have Level 3 in TOPIK(Test of Proficiency in Korea).
